January 5, 2010: eSight Closes $750k Financing Round

eSight announced today that it has received a $750,000 investment from First Leaside Visions II Limited Partnership. Funds from this investment will be used to complete the product development, expand the sales and marketing organization, and to support marketing activities in anticipation of 2010 product revenues. The company expects to raise additional expansion capital once the product is launched later this year.

Sept 18, 2009: Province of Ontario features eSight in its Investment Accelerator Fund announcement

Ontario is helping high-tech firms across the province bring innovative products and services to market, including new technology that will help people with inoperable low vision see better. The province is investing $500,000 to help Kanata-based eSight bring its game-changing “evSpex”™ device to the global market. The evSpex consists of a wearable high-resolution display with an integrated camera. The company is currently improving its prototype, and expects to go into production next year.
